Dingxiang County is renowned as the "Hometown of Forging in China". The forging industry is the traditional pillar industry of the entire county, with many enterprises possessing self-operated export rights and various quality system certifications, enjoying a good reputation in both international and domestic markets. The 2010 China·Dingxiang (Chongqing) Forging Product Promotion Conference, jointly organized by the Dingxiang County Committee, the county government, and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., is the first professional investment promotion activity held outside Shanxi by Dingxiang. It also represents the implementation of the provincial party committee and provincial government’s overall strategy of "transformational development and leapfrog development" by the Dingxiang County Committee and county government. This aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between enterprises in Shanxi and Chongqing, promote Dingxiang's forging enterprises and products, gradually establish strategic alliances between Dingxiang and large enterprises and groups in Chongqing, achieve complementary advantages for both parties' enterprises, and comprehensively promote the sustained and rapid development of Dingxiang's economy. During the promotion conference, enterprises from both regions conducted on-site matching and reached multiple cooperation intentions.
