Dingxiang County is renowned as the "Hometown of Forging in China". The forging industry is the traditional pillar industry of the entire county, with many enterprises having their own export rights and various quality system certifications, enjoying a good reputation in both international and domestic markets. The 2010 China·Dingxiang (Chongqing) Forging Product Promotion Conference, jointly organized by the Dingxiang County Committee, the county government, and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., is the first professional investment promotion activity held by Dingxiang outside of Shanxi. It is also a significant measure for the Dingxiang County Committee and the county government to implement the overall strategy of "transformational development and leapfrog development" proposed by the provincial party committee and provincial government, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between enterprises in Shanxi and Chongqing, promoting Dingxiang's forging enterprises and products, gradually establishing strategic alliances between Dingxiang and large enterprises and groups in Chongqing, achieving complementary advantages for both parties' enterprises, and comprehensively promoting the sustained and rapid development of Dingxiang's economy. During the promotion conference, enterprises from both regions conducted on-site connections and reached multiple cooperation intentions.
