Common flame heating equipment for forging is mainly divided into intermittent charging and continuous charging according to the loading method.

The editor will categorize and summarize different types of flame heating equipment in detail in three articles, along with their application scope and characteristics. If there are any inaccuracies, please leave a message or contact us.

Intermittent charging flame heating equipment mainly includes hand forging furnaces, chamber furnaces, gap furnaces, through furnaces, reciprocating grate furnaces, car bottom furnaces, and open flame non-oxidizing heating furnaces.

1. Hand Forging Furnace

The hand forging furnace has a simple structure, and the heating quality and temperature are not easy to control, with high labor intensity. It is mostly used for heating various small and medium-sized forgings in small batches, generally used during manual forging or repair forging. Hand forging furnaces can be divided into open furnaces, closed furnaces, single fire eye, double fire eye, movable, and fixed types.

2. Chamber Furnace

The chamber furnace has a simple structure and is a heating furnace with open and closed doors. It is mostly used for heating various small and medium-sized free forgings in single pieces or small batches. It is a more traditional heating method. Among them, the double-door chamber furnace has a compact structure, energy-saving, large production capacity, can avoid overheating and oxidation of the forging blank, and effectively utilizes energy. It is suitable for multiple heating and heating of alloy steel. The heat storage chamber furnace has high combustion efficiency, can effectively reduce energy consumption, and has a fast heating speed; it is suitable for pre-heating medium and small steel billets and ingots, with workpieces generally not exceeding 3 tons, and can be used with medium and small free forging hammers or die forging hammers.

3. Gap Furnace

The gap furnace has a simple structure, with no furnace door, leaving a gap of 100mm~200mm at the furnace opening, also known as a gap-type furnace. It has high heating efficiency and convenient loading and unloading. It is mostly used for batch production of medium and small die forgings, die forgings, manual forgings, as well as heating the ends of rod materials or local areas of blanks, and can be used with friction presses. The double-chamber gap furnace has a large production capacity. Now, the gap furnace has also seen more innovations and patents, such as the connected circulating shuttle gap furnace and the rotary gap furnace.

4. Through Furnace

The through furnace has a preheating section in the furnace, with some equipped with preheating chambers, heating chambers, and quenching chambers, which can be used for heating or heat treatment of various small and medium-sized free forgings, die forgings, and long rod-type forgings.

The heat storage through furnace has high combustion efficiency, fast heating speed, can effectively reduce energy consumption, and is suitable for continuous heating of carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, and other square billets or bars, and can be used with die forging hammers.

Classification, characteristics, and equipment used in forging

Forging is a processing method that uses forging machinery to apply pressure to metal blanks, causing them to undergo plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, shapes, and sizes. It is one of the two main components of forging and stamping.

Standard for flange sealing gaskets

There are many standards for flange sealing gaskets. Guangdong Zhongxiang can customize them based on the physical and chemical properties of the medium, as well as the pressure rating. Moreover, as everyone knows, flange sealing gaskets are determined by the material and industry nature, including asbestos rubber gaskets, metal gaskets, four [fú] gaskets rubber gaskets, aluminum gaskets, tooth-shaped gaskets, stainless steel gaskets, metal winding gaskets, annealed copper gaskets, and other flange sealing gasket products. Each type of flange sealing gasket has its own standards in various industries and applications.
